💁♂️There are many young people, after many years in the city waiting for people to apply for a job, decided to return and open farm or livestock farm, but soon unsuccess. We found out that the main reason is that you still don’t have the ownership mindset, still think that you can work freely without having to be constrained or have any constraints with the company. Starting a business has never been so easy. If you want to relax, maybe a normal 8 hour day job will be more suitable for you.
💁♂️Ownership mindset is simply understood as Thinking like a boss. Whether the owner is present at the company or not, no matter what difficulties the company encounters, you are willing to give your all to work and help the company create more value, that is the attitude of a boss. And people who have a hired mindset think about working for others, following the direction of the boss, working full-time, taking full responsibility for the boss’s assignment. But there is no actively thinking to see what to do.
💁♂️That’s why after graduation, we have chosen a startup company like Biophap to accompany and develop ourselves. In actual, we are hired farmers for Biophap but ideologically, each of us is the owner of these lands and takes care of them from the beginning of the reclamation. Then it is to renovate them into fertile soils, sow each seed, plant each tree, develop them into a diverse ecosystem. Then take care from fertilizing, catching worms, treating diseases for plants. Looking forward to the harvest season. We also consider this land as our home, every day we send love and care through our actions. Everywhere you will find things to do, to ponder and think about, to make everything complete more fully. Our actions and thoughts will be different from the group of workers who apply for jobs to make a living day by day, it will be easy to see that they work hard and responsibly, but let see what to do actively is very little, because they are person who has the mindset of an employee. We can’t ask a worker to actively catch worms for a plant when he is hired just to harvest vegetables, nor can they see when the plants need to be watered or not. They just do their job and it’s their job to complete it. As for us, we still went to the fields in the bitter wind, the sun was hot and we are bathed in perspiration, but we still had to stand in the middle of the hot weather, tired of breathing, sometimes forgetting to eat or drink. The whole mind is concern in farm. There are times when we are struggling with challenges, doing research and operating, doing and learning from experience, and then there are times when we have a headache with human resource problems, unable to find people to keep up with the production schedule or when we need to deliver our products. The product to market is also exhausted, energy, spirit, facing countless difficulties to maintain everything, not afraid of the situation, dare to face everything and full of determination. Only then we can truly understand the minds of the owners: Nothing is easy.
💁♂️When we started working as farmers in Biophap, we all had orientations such as: learning all the skills, then going back to our hometown, building a small processing site, do farming and then selling our own agricultural products, or self-sufficient without depending on anyone, returning to build our homeland. So if we have a hired mindset, can we do these things? Of course not. That’s why it is the motivation to make us study hard, to be serious with our choices. So that when we are truly become a master, we will have a different mindset, dare to take responsibility for our choices, dare to fail and not give up. And if someone asks: “If everyone is the owner, who will be the employee, Vietnam is too crowded because there are more teachers than workers.” Oh no, you got us wrong, the owners you just mentioned are “employees”, which is not the type of owner we recommend. The type of owner we’re talking about is more freedom, more exciting, and much more valuable. So change yourself first, if you want to master, work with the mindset of mastery.
